
What is BARION™?
Barion is an electronic payment service. You can pay for our online courses and knowledge materials with a convenient and secure credit card or pre-loaded balance.
The service provider Barion Payment Zrt is an e-money issuer under the supervision of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, its license number: H-EN-I-1064/2013.
Payment conveniently by credit card
Registration is not required for credit card payments, just enter your credit card number, expiration date and CVC code on the back, as well as a working email address.
However, if you register, you will never have to type in your card details at any Barion acceptance point again, your email address and password will suffice to pay. Not only is this convenient, but it also increases your safety!
You can use it to pay:
- Mastercard or Maestrocard
- Visa or Visa Electroncard
- American Express card

Payment conveniently without a credit card
If you do not have a credit card, you can use your prepaid Barion balance for payment, which you can top up by bank transfer or cash deposit, or for which your friends can send you money. In this case, you can pay by entering your email address and password.
Free
Credit card payment is free for customers. Registration and the Barion mobile app, as well as receiving and sending money, are free. There is no monthly fee either.
Barion balance management is also free, there is no entry or monthly fee. There are minimal fees for topping up and redeeming your balance, but topping up by bank transfer is free.
Safe
Barion’s servers are protected by Norton / Symantec / Verisign 256-bit SSL encryption. Before making a payment, always make sure that you actually enter the credit card details or password required for payment on Barion’s secure server. Your browser will indicate in green if the payment is secure and identify the owner of the payment page as Barion Payment Inc [HU].
Barion has the PCI DSS certificate required by credit card companies, so it is authorized to manage credit card data. The security of the Barion servers has been developed in accordance with the regulations of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank.
